Red Centre Road Trip Charity Fundraiser

We all love an adventure! Discovering untouched landscapes, building unforgettable memories and challenging yourself in unfamiliar situations. Two Australian motorcycle adventurers, Barry “Spook” Moore and Gerald “G-Mann” Pauschmann, are about to head out into Australia’s red centre... embarking on a Red Centre Road Trip.

Stretching over 6600 km long, the trip is designed to showcase the wildly vibrant Australian outback. The journey will take the two adventurers through iconic Aussie locations like Longreach, Alice Springs, Uluru, Birdsville, before finishing at Australia’s eastern-most point in Byron Bay.

Selflessly, the Red Centre Road Trip (RCRT) team has set up this trip as a charity fundraiser for the Australian non-profit organisation Royal Flying Doctor Service. The Royal Flying Doctor Service works to reduce the disparity of health service access. They bring emergency medical and primary health services to those areas that don't have access, making it possible for people to live, work and travel across this large continent.

As the RCRT team will be journeying through large parts of rural Australia that rely on the assistance of Royal Flying Doctor Service, choosing this particular charity was a no brainer. It allows a perfect opportunity to support Australia’s Most Trusted Charity’ (based on Australian Reader's Digest Trusted Brands’ survey of 2021).

The goal is to raise $50,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service! Every donation counts!

Sporting a Honda Africa Twin and a BMW F 750 GS, the pair plan to leave Brisbane on the 17th of August. Barry and Gerald will be filming and documenting the trip on a multi-episode series on their YouTube channel “The Next Adventure Show”. In addition, the RCRT team will be live streaming and posting on social media during the trip and in the lead-up to the release of the Youtube Series.

Barry and Gerald are no strangers to fundraising adventures. The Red Centre Road Trip will be their third, in a rather impressive resume of charity work. Back in 2019, the team raced a tuk-tuk 3,000km across India and raised $50,000 for wildlife conservation. Prior to that, they did a similar race across Peru driving a 125cc Mototaxi over the Andes mountains and through the Amazon basin before finishing near Machu Picchu while raising money for rainforest conservation.
