KYMCO CV3 - A 3 Wheeled Tourer

Kymco’s three-wheeled scooter, the brand-new CV3, was officially announced late last year, and with a large powerful engine, trendy stylising and modern comfort features, sounds like a touring dream.

Powered by the company’s existing 550.4cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin, the CV3 generates 51 hp of power at 7500rpm and 53Nm of torque at 5750rpm. Weighing 280 kilograms, the Up Side Down forks suspend the pair of 13-inch alloy front wheels. Duel disc brakes are featured on the front wheels and a single disc is used on the rear 15 inch alloy wheel.

KYMCO CV3 Key Features:

  • Unique front wheel architecture
  • ABS
  • Traction control
  • Cruise control
  • Full LED lighting and dash
  • Keyless ignition system
  • Large-capacity underseat storage compartment

The 3 wheel scooter market is still relatively fairly small, with only a couple manufacturers like Yamaha and Peugeot manufacturing them in mass. It’s nice seeing more brands start developing these machines, as they have begun accumulating an interest in the Australian market.
