Introducing The World's Largest Production Motorcycle Engine - Triumph's Rocket 3

Equipped with the world's largest production motorcycle engine and producing the highest torque of any production motorcycle, Triumph's Rocket 3 is in a whole different class of its own. Welcome to the genesis of an all-new generation of Triumph’s ultimate motorbike legend, the Rocket 3.

The all-new 2500cc engine produces a mouth watering 167PS peak power @ 6,000rpm and peak torque at 221Nm @ 4,000 rpm. This amount of low end torque allows the Rocket 3 to accelerate from 0-60 in only 2.79 seconds (I’d be holding onto these bars very tight!). Compared to the previous generation, the new Rocket 3 now weighs 18 Kgs less at 291 kg dry.

The high performance muscle roadster currently has two models on offer, the Rocket 3 R and the Rocket GT (with two more models the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black and Rocket 3 R Black still awaiting prices). The main difference to remember between the two models is the Rocket 3 GT is more touring capable, with a pillion backrest and windscreen.

Both the Rocket 3 R and GT include premium brakes and suspension components, plus state-of-the-art riding enhancing technology - delivering incredible handling and all day comfort capabilities. It's such a unique blend of sport touring, positioning you in a laid back, effortless riding style, yet between your legs is a “rocket” of a muscle roaster. It’s rather remarkable to say the least.

In addition to the handling setup, both Rocket’s feature the innovative sculpted 3-header exhaust run, the 6-speed high performance helical cut gearbox and the slip & assist hydraulic clutch. It seems that Triumph has built the Rocket for maximum rider ease, including the most premium “creature comforts” for Rocket owners.
