The presenter, Pete, is given a chance to ride the bike around the hinterland of Queensland and share his initial impressions. Overall, Pete is very impressed with the bike, but suggests some modifications for faster riders or bigger riders.
"I just got back from riding the all-new 2024 Triumph Daytona 660 in the Queensland hinterland with TeamMoto Motorcycles, and let me tell you, this thing is a blast!
The engine is a real gem. It's a triple-cylinder that puts out a ton of torque down low and pulls strong through the mid-range. Now, this is the learner-approved version, so it doesn't have the absolute top-end power of the full-power model, but for most riders, that won't be a problem.
The suspension is a bit on the soft side for my taste, especially if you're pushing the pace or happen to be a bigger rider. Pete from TeamMoto suggested getting it dialed in by a suspension specialist, which makes sense.
The brakes are absolutely solid, with ABS and traction control keeping things safe. The riding position is sporty but still comfortable, although the seat is a bit high. Shorter riders might find it a little intimidating at first.
One cool feature is the three ride modes you can easily switch between on the left handlebar controls.
Overall, I'm super impressed with the 2024 Daytona 660. It's a fantastic motorcycle, and if you're looking for a new ride, this Triumph should definitely be on your list. Just keep in mind the suspension limitations if you're a bigger rider or a track junkie."
