FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
The KX450X's engine has always been a strength, but Kawasaki engineers found a way to make it even stronger. Offering smoother low-end torque characteristics and a stronger over-run, the more potent new engine is backed by a host of features like electric start and a hydraulic clutch.
FACTORY-STYLE CHASSIS COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Complementing its acclaimed straight-line performance and nimble handling, a redesigned frame with optimised rigidity balance enables improved cornering performance that remains consistent across a wide range of conditions, while more centralised mass also contributes to the improved handling performance. Premium Brembo brake components and ODI Lock-On grips add to both performance and brand recognition.
CROSS-COUNTRY COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Cross-country-specific tuning for the suspension, complemented by a 21"/18" wheel combination fitted with enduro-type tyres, and convenient standard features like a side stand make the new KX450X even more attractive for cross-country competitors.
Reliable Starting
Being able to restart an engine quickly during a race can mean the difference between keeping your lead or having to fight your way back through the pack. Electric start makes restarting the engine as easy as pushing a button.
EVEN STRONGER ENGINE
Downdraft intake layout and symmetrically aligned intake and exhaust deliver a strong over-run and smooth low-rpm torque characteristics. Redesigned intake offers a much straighter route for air-fuel mix to enter the cylinder, while a centrally positioned exhaust port lines up with the intake for high airflow efficiency—both contributing to increased performance.
ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Complementing an updated Launch Control Mode, the new KX450 and KX450X are the first KX models to offer Power Mode selection and Kawasaki Traction Control at the push of a button. And with smartphone connectivity, riders can adjust engine maps right from their smartphones - another KX first that eliminates the need for accessory equipment.
