The R 12 G/S pays tribute to the beginnings of the G/S legend – nostalgia and modernity in perfect symbiosis. The exposed, aesthetically staged boxer engine, the high chassis, and the colour scheme of the original are immediately striking. Airboxer forever
An engine with loyal fans: the boxer. With the R 12 G/S, we have incorporated it into a contemporary framework concept. The basic structure consisting of the engine, single-piece tubular spaceframe with a bolted rear frame, flush suspension strut and redesigned engine peripheral equipment provides the basis for an enjoyable ride. With the three riding modes, RAIN, ROAD, and ENDURO, you can adapt your riding experience to suit your preferences. The typical boxer sound and 109 hp will transport you straight to adventure, with no diversions.
COMFORT & SAFETY
Expand your comfort zone
The equipment in the optional comfort package offers you outstanding support. With shift assistant Pro, you can enjoy a more dynamic yet comfortable ride, with no need to use the clutch for shifting gears. Hill Start Control provides support for hill starts, and the electronic cruise control offers assistance on the road. The grip heating allows you to enjoy trips in colder regions in comfort.

LED Headlight
With the X-shaped light icons, the LED headlight embodies the pure off-road spirit, and ensures that obstacles are always visible, even in the dark.

Enduro Suspension
Perfect for off-roading: with 210 mm of spring travel at the fork and 200 mm of spring travel at the suspension strut. Excels on the streets: for precise and direct drivability and the typical BMW driving dynamics.

Enduro Package Pro
The Enduro Package Pro on the R 12 G/S Enduro variant will get you ready for off-roading with eight additional equipment options. With an 18" rear wheel, enduro footrests and handlebar risers, you can safely stand on your bike at all times.

ConnectedRide Control
With the ConnectedRide Control as part of the Comfort Package, the R 12 G/S features a smartphone holder and a USB-C port so that you never lose power on the road.

ABS Pro
For enhanced safety when cornering and leaning: the partial integral brake system with ABS Pro.

Off-road Boxer
An unmistakeable centrepiece: the appropriately staged air/oil-cooled boxer engine.

Shift Assistant Pro
The shift assistant pro in the optional comfort package allows for smooth and rapid gear changes in both directions, without having to use the clutch.

Rallye Seat
One of the three seat versions available is the optional Rallye seat. It lets the rider sit 20 mm higher. Consistent geometry and the straight contour are perfectly designed to meet your off-roading needs.
