Review | Husqvarna 801 Svartpilen - Power, Style & Performance Tested!

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 is a serious step up from the 401, bringing more power, better features, and a smoother ride. It’s powered by a 799cc parallel-twin engine, the same one found in the KTM 790, producing 77kW and 87Nm of torque—plenty for both fun and practicality.

It comes packed with fully adjustable WP Apex suspension, J.Juan brakes (300mm front, 230mm rear), and standard traction control and ABS. The 5-inch TFT display is sharp and easy to read, plus there’s a USB-C port to charge your phone on the go.

One thing that doesn’t come standard—but probably should—is cruise control. It’s available as an upgrade, and honestly, once you have it, you won’t want to go without, especially on long rides.

The bike has three ride modes: Rain, Street, and Sport, with an optional Dynamic mode if you get the upgrade package. The Supermoto ABS mode lets you have some extra fun.

With 15,000km service intervals, a 4-year warranty, the Svartpilen 801 is a solid choice. If you’re keen to test one out, head to your nearest TeamMoto Husqvarna dealer at Springwood or Caringbah and take it for a spin!
