2025 KTM 390 Adventure R

2025 KTM 390 Adventure R

2025 KTM 390 ADVENTURE R for Sale at TeamMoto in QLD, VIC and ACT | Review Specifications, Features & Information

SUPREMELY CAPABLE

We have to say it - the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R is the most off-road capable middleweight adventure bike in its segment. Yes, it's a bold claim, but with a 399cc powerplant, true rally-inspired design, 230 mm adjustable suspension, and a 21/18"" wheel split, this new addition to the KTM R stable simply rewrites the rulebook.
This motorcycle is designed and developed in Austria and assembled in India.

feature

Engine

Boasting the latest generation in LC4c engines, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range muscles up with 399 cc, more power, smoother acceleration, and lighter overall weight than before. Drawing from years of experience in the small engine game, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R also features an improved gearbox and an optimized cylinder head. It is ready to adopt EURO 5.2 emission standards.

feature

Fuel tank

What's an adventure without fuel range? The KTM 390 ADVENTURE R boasts a 14-liter fuel capacity and exceptional fuel economy, making long jaunts into the faraway outdoors easy. What's more, the fuel tank represents a central element of the design and engineering, offering excellent ergonomics for riders of all sizes without sacrificing off-road handling.

feature

Smart Rider Tech

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE R confidently carves up any road surface, thanks to its low center of gravity, nimble handling, and 21" front wheel. This also means you can grab a handful of brakes with total confidence thanks to high-tech Cornering MTC, Cornering ABS, and Offroad ABS. These allow riders to apply more power mid-corner on the tarmac and get the most out of the brakes.

feature

Cruise Control

Whether you're settled into a long homeward journey along the motorway or venturing into uncharted territories, the KTM PowerParts catalogue has got you covered from Cruise Control to Luggage Cases and everything in between.

Wheels

With its 21" front and 18" rear heavy-duty spoked wheels at each end, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R makes tackling the toughest dirt trails a breeze. No more worries about cracked or chipped rims; these spoked setups perfectly complement the offroad-orientated Mitas Enduro Trail E07+ tires, providing unmatched confidence when charging off into the wilderness.

feature

Offroad Mode

When the tar road ends and the dirt track begins, KTM 390 ADVENTURE R riders can switch to OFFROAD MODE. This allows a certain rear-wheel slip, meaning muddy puddles or thick sand is easily navigated. In OFFROAD MODE, OFFROAD ABS is also activated, meaning you can pull your best impressions by locking up the rear wheel to slide into corners. OFFROAD MODE also maintains its settings if you stall the engine or switch off your machine, meaning you're ready to go as soon as the engine fires up.

feature

Off-road Ready Suspension

Upfront, a 43 mm WP APEX open cartridge fork with 230 mm travel keeps things in check, with adjustable compression and rebound in 30 easy clicks to easy adjustment. On the rear, any big hits are handled by a WP APEX Separate piston shock absorber with 230 mm of travel. The shock is also rebound adjustable with 20 clicks on the fly, while preload adjustment can be taken care of with a tool.

feature

Bodywork

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE range features distinctive KTM-style bodywork and graphics, providing excellent ergonomics and an aggressive look inspired by KTM's vast Rally racing heritage. This can be seen in everything from the headlight mask to the front fender. The tank spoilers and rear side panels are slightly wider than the seat for optimized control when standing on the pegs, while the shape of the fuel tank is optimized to offer freedom of movement when tackling tricky technical terrain. A robust engine guard also makes its intentions known by protecting the engine and exhaust when venturing off the tarmac into the dirt.

feature

TFT Display

A state-of-the-art, full-color H50 TFT display adorns the cockpit of the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R. This best-in-class display interface automatically adapts to variations in ambient light. For the best use of power, the rev counter blinks when it's time to shift. The 5'' display is easy to read, and the main information is arranged in such a way that you can immediately see it. The rider can also easily select which information they want on the screen via the multi-functional menu switch on the handlebar. To top it all off, a USB C port is also fitted as standard.

feature

LED Headlight

Some adventures take a little longer than others. However, thanks to ultra-bright state-of-the-art LED lights with position light on the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R, you'll have no problems navigating your way home. The LEDs also take their design cues from the bigger KTM ADVENTURE machines, so they not only offer excellent illumination and visibility but are designed to be compact to reduce the overall volume of the motorcycle.

feature

Windshield

You'll no doubt hit some highways at some stage. Good thing, then, that the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range boasts a sturdy and efficient windshield. Thanks to its slim profile, the rider isn't obstructed when moving around the machine. It also offers an unobstructed view directly in front of the bike - even when covered in dirt.

feature

KTMconnect

Even on adventures, you want to stay connected. Thanks to the KTMconnect system, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range connects to your smartphone, allowing you to make phone calls, listen to music, and use the optional turn-to-turn navigation app, all via the TFT display.

feature

Frame

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE range features an ultra-lightweight yet extremely stable trellis 2-piece frame. This frame provides the backbone and is a major element accounting for its nimble handling and forgiving balance of flex and stiffness.

feature

ERGONOMICS

Let's be clear about it -- the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R is all about hitting the tough stuff. It is designed to be an adventure machine, from its Rally-style windscreen to its offroad-focused footpegs. All-day riding comfort, supreme offroad agility, and unmatched rider involvement make the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R the class leader when taking the path less travelled in complete control.

feature

Seat

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE range features a single-piece stepped seat. The seat can be easily removed for access to the airbox and a small storage compartment underneath. The KTM PowerParts team also specifically developed different seats to match individual customer needs from comfort to riding style.

feature

Footpegs

Wide, robust footpegs inspired by KTM offroad models hint at the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range party trick. With 2 adjustable positions -- standing or seated -- the footpegs are developed for all-day riding comfort. They are perfectly matched to both street and offroad boots and feature easy-to-remove rubber inserts for when the riding really gets rough.
